Astroland
Location: Brooklyn, NY
What It Is: Named one of the top ten amusement parks in the world and the largest amusement park in New York City, Astroland is a full family park with 35 rides and attractions, including the internationally famous Cyclone Roller Coaster!
Astroland's Astrotower, the tallest ride at Coney Island, soars up to 253 feet providing awesome views of New York City!

Six Flags Fiesta
Location: San Antonio, Texas
What It Is: Six Flags Fiesta Texas is a non-stop celebration of San Antonio and South Texas.
The park is designed around four themed areas: The Mexican town of Los Festivales: the German village of Spassburg; the 1920's cowboy boomtown of Crackaxle Canyon; and the small Texas town of Rockville, during the golden age of rock 'n' roll. Themes are carried out by superb musical shows and exciting rides including massive wooden and steel roller coasters.

Alabama Adventure
Location: Bessemer, Alabama
What It Is: Alabama Adventure is the state's only themed park located in Bessemer. Its featured rides include the Rampage, one of the nations' fastest and largest wooden roller coasters and the Zoomerang, a steel "boomerang" coaster.
Today, the park is divided into two parks: a water park called "Splash Beach" that includes a wave pool and a lazy river and a "dry side" park called "Magic City USA" that includes a children's area called "Marvel City."

Silver Springs Nature Park
Location: Ocala, Florida
What It Is: Silver Springs Nature Theme Park, one of the Sunshine State's oldest tourist attractions, is home of the famous glass-bottom boat rides. The boats give guests unique views of schools of fish and the beautiful underwater panorama of the world's largest artesian spring formation.
The park also features an array of animals, gardens, other rides and events. The adjacent Wild Waters Waterpark adds further adventure.

Silverwood
Location: Athol, Idaho
What It Is: The Northwest's largest theme park, Silverwood is located in the heart of Northern Idaho. The park offers more than 60 rides including Panic Plunge, a 140-foot tall tower ride to the top with a 47 mph drop to the bottom, Tremors Rollercoaster, an authentic wooden rollercoaster
Coming in July 2008 a new, 191-foot tall coaster that not only takes you forward through a cobra roll and inverted loop at over 65 mph, but backwards as well!

Camden Park
Location: Huntington, West Virginia
What It Is: A West Virginia treasure, this 100 + year old amusement park is one of the last time-honored parks of its kind. For 2008, about 30 rides and attractions will be available, including favorites such as the Big Dipper, Lil' Dipper, Paratrooper and Haunted House.
A trip to an amusement park wouldn't be complete without carnival food and Camden Park features everything from corn dogs to cotton candy. Want something more? Try the West Virginia Grille for a sit-down meal.

"Walk the Plank" is a 200 foot dark tunnel with an exhilarating 50 foot drop! "Pirates' Plummet" has a tunnel that opens up just as you begin the steep plunge down the slide. Visit this summer for all the fun -- if you dare!

Pioneer Park
Location: Fairbanks, Alaska
What It Is: Pioneer Park was originally built for the Alaska 1967 Centennial Exposition. Visitors come to experience life as it existed during the early 1900s, and can learn about Alaska's aviation history, the gold rush and native history and culture.
Authentic cabins and the museums and shops are linked by a train making it easy to traverse the 44-acre park. At the end of a day, a delicious salmon dinner is available at the Alaska Salmon Bake so you can sample Alaska salmon, halibut and cod cooked over an outdoor fire.

Location: Daytona Beach, Florida
What It Is: This interactive family motorsports attraction, located at Daytona International Speedway, features simulators, track tours, an IMAX 3D movie presentation, a live pit stop challenge, a Pit Shop souvenir store and much more.
Over the past 10 years, DAYTONA USA, "The Official Attraction of NASCAR," has been delivering magical motorsports memories to both hard-core race fans and casual observers through hands-on activities, challenging thrills and one-of-a-kind sights.

Hard Rock Park
Location: Myrtle Beach, SC
What It Is: Hard Rock Park, the first theme park in the world carrying the Hard Rock brand, is the first theme park of its size to open in the United States in about a decade. At more than $400 million, it represents the largest single tourism investment in South Carolina history.
Highlights include the 150-foot tall Led Zeppelin "Whole Lotta Love" roller coaster, a reggae-flavored playground for kids, themed areas focusing on rock's culture, lifestyles and legends, and live music, including such acts as the Eagles and the Moody Blues. -
