You Know You’re an Official Vegas High Roller When…

By CARLY MILNE
Most people intent on taking a Las Vegas vacation are focused on making it a memory that will last a lifetime – sometimes by accident (was it really a good idea to do that many tequila shots after that much shrimp cocktail?) Sure, it’s fun to hit the buffets and play slots, but what if money wasn’t an issue? What if you could have everything you want, when you want it, how you want it, no matter how extravagant?

Meet Steven Striker, the man who can make all of that happen… and more. As Vegas’ leading host and concierge, Striker’s company -- Striker VIP -- has hooked up everyone from Fortune 500 company CEOs to athletes, Hollywood’s A-list stars to the music industry’s biggest bigwigs, and the all-around super rich.

“Everything we do isn’t something people can do themselves,” Striker explains. “Anyone can create hype and image, we create the lasting impression… and the people that work with us don’t ask how much, they ask when, why and where.”

Want to know the 10 best of the “when, why and where” Vegas experiences? Read on…

1) Charter a private Lear jet or Citation to Las Vegas stocked with fresh sushi and champagne for you and your posse. When you land at McCarran Airport’s private air terminal, you’ll be greeted on the tarmac by your personal chauffer and private Bentley, which is on-call for you during your entire trip, 24/7. Plus, you get to snack on imported caviar and smoke a fine, hand-rolled cigar as you’re driven to your hotel. “We get anywhere from 25 to 200 people per month booking this experience,” Striker says. Is he willing to name names? “We have client confidentiality – that’s why people use us.” Rats.

2) Get treated like royalty in the 2,500 square-foot exclusive Fairway Villa Suite at The Wynn Las Vegas, overlooking the amazing private WYNN golf course. Then, dine like a king in sumptuous style with your own private dinner prepared specially for you and your guest by Chef Alex Stratta of Alex restaurant, named one of the five best restaurants in the world. “This gives you your own chef and butler for 24 hours, but even more than that, Alex will meet you in your room and will not only build your menu around what you, he will bring it in to you personally,” Striker says. 3) Book your own private blackjack table for the evening at The Playboy Club atop the Palms Resort and Casino, along with a litter of “bunnies” to keep you and your guests entertained. “The cool thing is not only going there, but you get floor space, your own table roped off for you and your invitees, couches so people can sit and watch…, it’s very personalized and centralized,” Striker notes, adding that drinks and appetizers are fed to you and your guests throughout the evening.

4) Enjoy a skyward champagne brunch as your private helicopter takes you to play 18 holes of golf at the ultra exclusive Cascata Golf Course in Boulder City Nevada, then smoke your Davidoff cigar as you play this par 72, 7100 yard Rees Jones designed course, which traverses some of the most scenic topography and lush landscaping. Striker thinks it’s fun to drive to Boulder in a limo, but even more fun to go by helicopter. “It takes 15 minutes,” he says. “And it’s yours – you can fly where you want. So on the way back if you decide you want to go to San Francisco for dinner, they’ll fly you there and wait for you.”

5) Pick up a new ride at the local Lamborghini dealership - a V10 Gallardo coupe, equipped with a 500-horsepower engine, or The V12 Murcielago coupe or roadster model. Believe it or not, Striker can sweeten this deal. “Let’s say eight of your buddies are in town and you’re big dogs… we can arrange a cannonball run,” he says. “You can race all the way through Red Rock and back, we give you walkie talkies to stay in touch, and lunch is included.” Burt Reynolds be damned.

6) Commandeer a fighter jet for a Dog Fight over the Las Vegas desert. “We’re the only VIP company in Vegas that’s able to use or sponsor this package,” Striker says, calling it “an incredible adventure.” You’ll get to co-pilot an L39 Czechoslovakian fighter pilot in a strategically planned dogfight against one or two other jets. Plus, it’s being filmed… so you can take home the DVD (Kenny Loggins soundtrack optional.)

7) Hire Las Vegas legend Wayne Newton to come to your private suite to entertain you and your guests. Wayne Newton not your thing? How about Elton John, Danny Ganz… “I have access to any and all performers in Vegas – you name the headliner, but bear in mind they all cost differently,” Striker warns. For example, Elton costs a million for two hours.

8) Book out one of the town’s hottest nightclubs like Tao or Tryst and host your own private party for 200 of your closest friends, complete with privately catered gourmet fare, intricate ice carvings, and open top-shelf liquor and cigar bars. Not enough? Mid-evening, treat your guests to a private Cirque du Soleil performance. “You can own that club,” Striker says. “Or at least a complete section if not the whole club.” But it comes with a price – a section starts at $50k with the whole club considerably higher, but you get your own red carpet, paparazzi-style entrance.

9) Indulge in a personal shopping spree at Ted Baker clothing with the assistance of Striker VIP’s personal image consultant Dion Julian of Hollywood. “Imagine Ted Baker closing the store for you, and you have access to everything while being served privately-made martinis,” says Striker. Sounds like our kind of shopping spree!

10) Sit ringside at a heavyweight boxing or UFC championship, rubbing elbows with Hollywood A-listers, then be ushered directly to the exclusive after fight party where you have your own private table with bottle service. If it’s between boxing and UFC, Striker says go UFC. “It’s more cutting edge, and we guarantee the best seats in the house – so close that the sweat hits you,” he says. (Towels are optional.) Make sure you have your camera ready for when the heavyweight champ comes up to shake your hand.
